Hello Walrus Swimmer Families!

We are excited for the upcoming summer 2021 Swim Team Season. While we know it still won’t be totally “normal,” we are hopeful that we will be able to have some swim meets this summer. More information will be coming soon, but for now we wanted to share the following. Please remember that all information is subject to change based on upcoming league meetings, the health department’s guidance, and HOA approval.

Welcome to our new coach Tamara Dierking! She has years of swimming experience and has coached in a variety of settings for the past 16 years. She currently works at Preston Middle School as an Integrated Services teacher.

We welcome all neighborhood swimmers ages 5-18 who can swim a consistent, recognizable front crawl with side breathing for at least one length of the pool . Please reach out with any questions by emailing [email protected].

Cost per swimmer: $135

First practice: Tuesday June 1, 2021

Summer 2021 Practice Schedule:

• 12 -19 year olds 6:45 AM-8 AM
• 8-11 year olds 8:00 AM- 9 AM
• 5-7 year olds 9:00 AM-9:45 AM

Additionally, swimmer ability may shift practice times; coaches will communicate with families.

May 26: Last day of School (1/2 day)

May 31: Memorial Day

June 1: Practice begins

July 3: 4th of July Holiday Weekend - no meet

July 5th: No swim practice (holiday observance)

July 23-25: State Swim Meet
