CITY MEET INFO!
July 17th
Hello Walruses-
It is officially City Meet weekend! Time really does fly when you're having fun. Remember that City Meet is significantly larger than all the other meets we have been to- prepare for a bit of chaos, but a lot of fun and fast swimming. Please read the important info below, and look through the items attached:
- Start time: Please note that they adjusted the meet to start at 7:45am (rather than 8am)
- Please plan to arrive at the pool 30 minutes before warm up
- Warm Up:
- Friday (11 & Overs): 6:20am-6:40am
- Saturday (10 & Unders): 6:30am-6:45am
- What to bring:
- Clothing: We are having chilly/wet mornings and sun in the afternoon. Bring an extra towel (or 2), socks, cozy pants, sweatshirts, etc.. Since there are so many swimmers, there are long blocks of times between events. The goal is to be warm at all times!
- Team Gear: Willow Springs swim caps should be worn for all races.
- Snacks & Drinks: There will be some concessions, but please come prepared with your own snacks/lunch and plenty of water. Again, this is a long meet!
- Heat Sheets: I have attached the heat sheets below.
- Pages 1-9 are for the Friday morning session
- Pages 10-11 are for the Friday evening/distance session
- Pages 12-20 are for the Saturday session.
- Area Set Up: We will be setting up a Willow Springs tent on the pool deck/in the grass. You are free to sit on your own, but with so many teams and people, it is best to sit together. Please come find one of the coaches when you arrive, and we will point you in the right direction.
- Carpooling: With early morning warm ups and minimal parking availability, carpooling is highly encouraged.
- If you have an 11& over who needs a ride to the pool Friday morning, please give Coach Milo or Coach Addi a text/call and they would be happy to drive your swimmers (their numbers are below)
- Coach Milo: (970) 531-8847
- Coach Addi: (970) 420-7635
Get some rest and get excited! It is going to be a great weekend of swimming. I am so proud of all of the hard work everyone has put in this summer, and can't wait to see it all pay off tomorrow and Saturday. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Thank you, Coach Lily
